Explanation of Search Engine Marketing

If you are unfamiliar of the term search engine marketing, it might be good to provide a bit of an introduction before we dig in deep. Page Rank is a term related to Google’s acceptance of a website or blog, you can increase your page rank by using SEO strategies that focus on link building and content generation.

If you do your homework, you would know that back in the day when Netscape ruled the land, search engines were terrible and finding appropriate content. With so many different areas of focus in regard to Search Engine Optimization, it can be hard to know where to start.

SEM is the process of implementing strategies that could include purchasing advertising from Google Adwords, running contests on your website to gain traffic and generally anything that gets a buzz going and gets customers through your system. It makes the most sense to start from square one and discuss writing content.

Before you approach a new subject, start by using the Google Keyword Tool to make sure that what you intend to write about is in demand and people are searching for it… So by now you have probably found your target keyword, assessed the quantity of web traffic and done your article research. Go ahead and make the article title and URL the same as the keyword or at bare minimum include your keywords in the article title.

Personally, I like to be conservative and not incorporate my keywords more then once every 100 words and in addition, I like to bold the keywords to make them stand out…I don’t want to oversimplify so it would be appropriate to state that this is a very rudimentary way of explaining onsite SEO and in reality there are several more strategies you can do internally to increase your web traffic and visibility. In addition to onsite techniques, more importantly you will have to be good at networking and approaching people, its not called the “world wide web” for nothing…

It’s easier to exchange links when you’re site has authority and page rank but initially it can be very difficult getting respect if you don’t have any yet. It may be necessary to resort to purchasing links if you cant find anyone to trade with you at first. If you want to really start making money online you will have to become an expert at this… There are several names for the same thing in the internet marketing business, and if you want to make money online, you will need to learn the lingo. Commonly people refer to terms such as SEO, SEM, Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing, Page Rank etc…

Many people don’t understand that beyond any other methods, you have to spend time or find shortcuts in regard to generating quality anchor text backlinks. It doesn’t matter if you want to be a seattle portrait photographer or an astronaut… Building links is the lifeblood of external SEO and if you are a popular or a manufacturer, getting attention is difficult and it needs to be done at a rate that is equal or greater to that of your competitors for the same keywords if you want to stay on top of the rankings… Once you get closer to the first page, things can get extremely difficult.}

When everything is said and done, it is clear that SEO and SEM is not easy but unless you become talented at optimizing your pages, posts and articles in addition to placing anchor text keyword backlinks on other people’s websites, you will not have much of a future in internet marketing.Focus on the fundamentals and ignore what everyone else says, most people are just trying to sell something to you and very few will give you the information on a silver platter for free.

Information on Shotokan Karate

July 31, 2009 by miwamoto · Comments Off

Shotokan karate is both a new and an ancient martial art. It is ancient because its roots are deeply entrenched in the past and new because, as it is expressed now, it is an art that is less than one hundred years old. Shotokan is characterized by its long, low stances, its strong techniques and its dynamic forms.

The “founding father” of shotokan, Gichin Funakoshi, was from Okinawa. He studied the most ancient of the Okinawan te (”hand”) systems as a young man and in the early twentieth century brought what he had discovered on the island of Okinawa to mainland Japan, where he demonstrated his art before the Emperor. He intended to return to Okinawa but was convinced to stay and continue instructing in Japan. Funakoshi’s nom de plume was Shoto (which means “waving pines”), and kan means “hall”, so shotokan karate can be translated as, “Shoto’s hall of the way of the empty hand”.

While Funakoshi was the conceiver of shotokan, it was really his son, Yoshitaka Funakoshi who evolved it into the form we know today. It quickly grew in popularity, backed, encouraged and regulated by the powerful Japan Karate Association, and shortly thereafter was spread across the world.

Shotokan has, produced some of the worlds greatest karate advocates, including Hirokazu Kanazawa. It is believed by many karateka (karate practitioners) that Hirokazu has come closest to having, the most perfect technique. He studied karate at Takushokyu University and won the Japan Championships in 1962, even with a broken hand. Shotokan Carries on and is practiced by thousands of adults and children, throughout the world.

Triads

The foundation of Shotokan is the Triad. There exists the Physical Triad – Kihon (basics), Kumite (sparring) and Kata (forms), which require dedicated training and the constant perfecting of technique. This is followed by the Moral triad of justice, mercy and compassion and finally the Ethical Triad of duty, honor and loyalty. If you put all of the nine triad principles together (nine symbolizes perfection) you achieve the whole, rounded person. When these principles are practiced in a martial art they exemplify one of the fundamental concepts of Shotokan karate- focusing on the development of the human character as a whole being, instead of concentrating on only one aspect of development.

Uniform and Equipment

Shotokan karate practitioners don a white cotton top and drawstring trousers, the typical karate uniform seen today.

Rank

At 3rd-dan a karateka may be called “sensei”. At 4th-dan it is assumed that the karateka is well acquainted with the style and has a deep understanding of the technical requirements. A 5th-dan is awarded after the writing of a technical dissertation on karate. All dan grade awards after this are for advancement within shotokan, with emphasis on style, devotion, loyalty and commitment to the art.

With the award of 6th-dan comes the title “shihan’ which freely translated means “master” or literally “a teacher of teachers”. At this stage the karateka is considered a master of his/her style and is given the right to wear the red and white belt or may continue to wear the black belt. Although it may take 30 years of hard, disciplined training and study to achieve 6th-dan, this is reputed to be only the starting point to the pursuit of excellence and true knowledge.

Starting a collection of football programmes

July 30, 2009 by miwamoto · Comments Off

To effectively start a collection of football programmes, an individual needs to choose a theme to his or her collection. There are hundreds of thousands of football programmes available in the United Kingdom, and even more around the world. To give a collection a of meaning a theme should be adopted to avoid pointless accumulation and to keep to a designated budget.

Sometimes you come across a programme that covers or crosses two themes at once. These may prove to be valuable acquisitions in years to come as they signify a special or historical event, which will muster memories for soccer fans from across the world in the future.

The programme is a good way to record a memorable event at a specific game. This could be in the form of an achievement such as a player milestone, which can be featured in the programme itself. A player milestone could come in many formats, such as an appearance record, a goal scoring record, the end of a players career, a number of years of service by a player, and much more.

The sadder side of football is also often recorded in the programme. These historical events interest collectors who see them as poignant reminders of the past. They are highly collectible and valuable as a result. The disasters at Bradford, Ibrox and Hillsborough have collectible programmes connected with them, not only for the day itself, but also the subsequent commemorative games.

A notably collectible set of football programmes to own are those associated with the Munich Air Disaster involving the Man Utd team and Busby’s Babes. The programme from the match against Partizan Belgrade who Manchester United were playing on the tragic trip can sell for over £1000. A similar amount can be achieved for the programme against Sheffield Wednesday straight after the disaster, where the players list wasn’t filled in for the Manchester United team.

Notable events are usually reflected in the content and design of the programme. Important football programmes to get hold of are final games in an old stadium, or the first issue within a new one. Most programmes of this type are abundant with interesting features and historical information, making them a gem in any football programme collection.

Football programmes often mean different things to different collectors. You may value one programme highly for entirely personal reasons and memories which they may conjure up. For others the pursuit is one of passion, understanding more about the history and traditions of a football team that they support. Whatever your reason, collecting football programmes is a highly rewarding hobby, and comes highly recommended to any football fan.

As Spring approaches, it’s time to pay attention to your swimming pool

July 29, 2009 by miwamoto · Comments Off

If you’re lucky enough to have a pool in your yard, or are even thinking of installing one this summer, there are several aspects of pool ownership that you must consider. Everything from cleaning to safety and in between. It’s not just “buy and install it” anymore. This is a serious commitment, like owning a dog. You can’t leave it unattended for too long or you won’t be able to use it.

This article will focus on three things: pool covers, pool heaters and swimming pool fence. All are important. If you don’t know enough about these things then please keep reading.

Safety is one of the most important factors to consider when owning a pool, then pool covers and a good fence are very helpful. The swimming pool fence will keep small children from getting into the pool unattended, and certainly help to keep out unwanted neighbors and larger animals. In some areas it’s required specifically for safety reasons, other places don’t require it but it is a good idea. There are certain aesthetic benefits as well. A nice looking fence makes your pool area look very posh and adds to the elusiveness of the area. Privacy and security and stablity are wonderful things.

Solar pool covers can protect the water from leaves and debris, also from small animals and some reptiles. Only a hard cover will keep a child protected who stumbles into the area on their own. People who have soft covers that rise up and down with the water movement would only make the problem worse from a potential drowning aspect as the child could get caught in the cover and not be able to get out. But the covers themselves are valuable for keeping the pool clean and debris free.

Cheap solar pool heaters will give you extended use of your pool during the cooler months. You can even be economical and eco friendly about it by using the solar pool heaters. They work to warm the water in the pool without too much electrical energy being used. Hayward is one of the better known brands of pool heaters, although you can speak with your local pool rep to see which they prefer.
