Norway, Slovakia & Sweden Climate & Temperature Details

In the winter the mean Norway temperature for December has been recoreded to be on average in the range of -5.6 and -0.5 degrees celcius. The in the spring time temperatures in Norway, (Oslo) record mean low values of -3.3 degrees and temp highs of 3.5 degrees celcius in the month of March. In summery June the average values for the Norway climate reach up to to from 10.6 to 20.4 degrees celcius and by the autumn mean temperatures tumble to the range of 7.5 and 15.1 degrees in September.

The Slovakia temperatures in the January winter month fall in the region of a minimum of -3.5 and a maximum of 2.4 degrees on average. After winter comes spring and the Slovakia climate warms with mean temperatures in April in the range of 4.9 to 16 degrees celcius. In July the summertime Slovakia temperature range is from an average low of 14.7 degrees to an average high of 26.9 degrees celcius. Average temperatures beging to fall in the autumn so that in October the Slovakia climate has records of mean temperatures of between 5.6 and 15.4 degrees low and high respectably.

The Sweden temperatures in the February winter month fall in the region of a minimum of -5 and a maximum of -1 degrees on average. After winter comes spring and the Sweden climate warms with mean temperatures in May in the range of 6 to 16 degrees celcius. In August the summertime Sweden temperature range is from an average low of 13 degrees to an average high of 20 degrees celcius. Average temperatures beging to fall in the autumn so that in November the Sweden climate has records of mean temperatures of between 1 and 5 degrees low and high respectably.

Road bikes, also known as racing or touring bikes, are commonly built for speed and riding on smooth surfaces like pavement. Racing bikes follow the same basic layout, but with a very lightweight frame. Although road bikes and racers can be used for commuting, most commuters opt for comfort rather than speed.

Mountain bikes are built less for speed and more for durability and control. These bikes have much larger tires, raised handlebars that put the rider in a more upright position, and are generally (but not always) heavier. Since mountain bikes are intended to be used on trails and steep inclines, the gear ratios are generally lower than that of road bikes. Some mountain bikes have up to 36 gears, advanced suspension systems to handle bumpy terrain, and it is now common to find disc brakes on one or both wheels. These bikes are great for commuting, especially if some of that commute is over uneven and rough or dirt or gravel roads.

Hybrid bikes attempt to combine the best of road and mountain bikes, and are intended to handle most commuting situations. These bikes come equipped with narrower tires than mountain bikes, suspension systems for the occasional bumpy road, comfy handlebars and saddles, and often come with pre-fitted fenders and luggage racks for bicycle bags. Many hybrids are geared much like road bikes, while others limit the number of gears to a minimum (5-7 speeds) or have the gears “sealed” in the rear hub (3-5 speeds). Hybrids are quite often the best selection for most commuting situations, and are a great choice for casual riders.

Many other specialized types exist, from single speed cruisers to very specialized off-road “rock riders” and BMX racers. However, most cyclists will do quite well to start from the list above.
