How can I get people to post on my Article Directory?

I have a newly installed article directory on my site and I want to get people to post their articles and write ups in it. Sort of like collective thinking. I was thinking of something that would help me get some starters. Any ideas?

    try starting by referring to topic of articles ,
    if its about wires, go to wire related forums,
    and use outside ads on directory, so what goes around comes around, and it will take time to build a reputation …
