Apple has redefined what gadgets are featuring its line of cutting-edge products from the Mac computer, Iphone, and media players Ipod Nano and Ipod Touch. Apple CEO Steve Jobs is credited for introducing to the world a whole new slew of advanced products that are not only functional but are impressively sleek. Apple products such as the Iphone and Ipod are becoming pop culture fixtures, a testament to the wide acceptance of the general public on these products.
The Iphone is both multimedia and Internet-enabled. It may serve as a camera phone, a portable media player, and Internet client able of web browsing, e-mail, and Wi-Fi connection. Obviously, one can also send texts and call family and friends with this gadget. Its multi-touch screen presents a virtual keyboard, replacing the physical keyboard present in most mobile phones.
Aside from these attributes, Iphone also offers numerous add-ons. Iphone accessories include the case and screen protector. This shields the bright, clear Iphone display screen which is one of the more recognizable features of the device. By using a case and screen protector, the Iphone screen is protected from scrapes. Other Iphone accessories include a wired headset that allows the owner to receive calls and hear music and never having to put the Iphone near the ears. The Iphone even offers a Bluetooth enabled headset as a possible accessory. It functions similar with other mobile devices, able to transmit calls and data inside a short distance (generally below 300 feet). Other favorite Iphone accessories include 3G cases, crystal case, car kit, touch cases, and books. These types of accessories make the Iphone fun and much more exciting to use.
The Ipod Nano is a media player which is portable and convenient to use. It was first released by Apple in the end of 2005 to replace another portable media player, the iPod mini. Just like the iPod shuffle, it uses flash based memory. However it comes with a QVGA diagonal display and features the ‘click wheel’ which was first seen in another media player, the iPod classic. The Ipod Nano now has five models, called generations, since it was introduced in 2005. The new model supports FM radio, has video recording, plus a microphone that supports voice memos.
The Ipod Touch is not just a portable media player but also doubles as a PDA. It was launched in 2007. Ipod Touch is the first Ipod that included wireless connection to Apple’s iTunes store. As of September 2009, in excess of 20 million units of Ipod Touch were bought around the globe.
