Prosperity Scriptures and the Life Anybody Can Enjoy

Do you believe God desires you to be blessed with riches? And I don’t mean to say prosperous in spiritual goodness – that’s already a given. What I mean is that do you believe that God wants you to live in overflowing wealth and good health? The answer is that He does. Abundance and prosperity is not a sinful desire to have, it has its history in the Holy Scriptures. In fact you will find that prosperity scriptures from the Old and New Testament books confirm this to be real.

You will observe that most of God’s most favored persons have in their possession not only immense wealth but also a a name of great worth. Abraham was recognized to have such a large number of herds, cattle and male and female servants that he and his nephew had to separate because the land they were staying in is not able to sustain both of their households. Sarah, Abraham’s wife was so stunning that she received the interest of a king – and this was when she was 90 years of age! What is she doing and where can we get it, right? That, my friends, is God’s gift of abundance in surplus.

Another story of divine prosperity is Joseph. We all know his story, things did not work out well with this special individual. Traded by his brothers, unjustly thrown in prison, forgotten by a friend he helped out – who could imagine he’d eventually be the prime minister of Egypt? God did. Joseph was given a personal vision of this amazing prosperity as a young boy and in the face of the impossibilities that he faced, God delivered him. Is this your life story? Did you used to dream of a beautiful life but the difficulties that seem to find you at every season seemed to be too much to put up with? Do not lose hope. God cares and wants to see your dream come true.

Now we all agree, God does intend for His people to be blessed. But that was centuries ago and He was referring to the Jews – that has nothing in relation with me. Research the New Testament books closely and you will learn that the prosperity promise will apply to you as well. Abraham is the founding father of Faith, therefore everyone who believe are beneficiaries of the promise. Hence when God told Abraham many centuries ago: ‘I will bless you and make your name great; I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And through you all families on the earth shall be blessed’ (Genesis 12:2-3) – if you have faith, you can receive it.

A lot of times there are scriptural verses that give the impression that being needy is a God designed state to be in. This cannot be factual because God applies prosperity as a natural consequence to those who look to obey Him.

1 Chronicles 22:13

Then you will prosper, if you are careful to abide by the statutes and the ordinances which the LORD commanded Moses concerning Israel. Be strong and courageous, do not fear nor be dismayed.

Prosperity scriptures are moderated by the wise advice of not making money your master, and giving liberally to our needy brothers and sisters. All When you put everything in perspective, there can be no question about God’s supreme will about your personal wealth.
