Whilst it may not be difficult to find a contract office cleaning company being able to find a company that can do the work quickly and effectively is a little more difficult to do. What questions should you ask in order to ensure you are choosing the best cleaning contractor for your business?

You could start to develop your questions by thinking about these issues first.

Does the local cleaning manager fully understand what you are wanting in your office cleaning service contract? If they don’t understand what you are looking for how will they pass on instructions to the actual cleaners?

If you are planning some special visit e.g. your board of directors visiting your regional office or a open day for customers will the cleaners work around that to give special cleans before and afterwards?

What about feedback? This is not simply signing a weekly/monthly survey form you need to be able to see what effect your feedback has on the cleaning methods and standards.

Quality control inspections.

Quality control is important especially at the beginning of your contract.  You should be sure that the local manager is going to be visiting regularly at the beginning to check on office cleaning standards and ensure that the cleaners standards exceed your own. After this, random spot checks should be made in order to ensure that the cleaners are doing the job as per your agreed specifications.

Finally do they do have systems in place that will assure you that you will be able to get access to senior managers direct in order to sort out any issues that may come up during the cleaning contract. It is also important to understand how your calls are going to be handled and that you will be confident that your issue will be dealt with promptly and professionally at all times.
