Time To Prepare Your Wedding

So you are getting married, first off congratulations.  Do you have any ideas on what you want for your wedding?  Number of guests that you want to invite?  The location where you want to get married?  And so many other things.

These are just some of what you need to prepare for your wedding day.  Of course there is always an easier way.  You could decide to elope and forget about everything else.  Or you could have a destination wedding where there will only be a few guests at the wedding and then you either stay for the honeymoon or just move a short distance away.

If you plan on having a larger wedding then you may have to book well in advance to get a venue that can accommodate everyone that you are inviting.  I am from Edmonton, which is large enough to allow for some pretty good sized weddings within a short period.  In some cases though this could take a year or more before you can get into a location.

Also you will want to decide to go with a wedding planner or do all of this work yourself.  This has some pros and cons, but will be entirely up to you.

When I got married my wife insisted on getting a lot of flowers.  Which was nice, but these also had to be ordered ahead of time or we would not have gotten what we wanted for that day.  There are many wedding flowers Edmonton has to offer, and we did get lucky on finding one florist that did custom work.

Just to recap.  You will need to decide on using a wedding planner or not, find a wedding venue to take care of your needs, send out invitations to your guests with enough time to return and possibly send out again if you get any rejects.  Then decide on some sort of flowers.

Another thing about flowers is depending on when you are getting married different flowers will be in season at different times.  Just like when you go to the grocery store for fresh fruit you will find that as the seasons change so do the prices of the fruit.  This is because of extra shipping costs to get what you want to where you live.  Same thing goes for flowers, the Edmonton flowers that we used were shipped to the company in Edmonton that we used.  This was not a huge extra fee as our wedding was small, just had a lot of flowers in comparison to the size of the wedding.
